This cost saving kit includes the VP44 injection pump, OE Fleetgard fuel filter and an upgraded fuel supply pump for the 2000-2002 Dodge pickups with a 6 speed manual transmission and the high-output 245 horsepower 5.9L Cummins diesel. The upgraded supply pump allows the injection pump to draw fuel through internal supply pump bypass ports if the lift pump motor fails. This prevents fuel from aerating which in turn protects the injection pump. Since VP44 pump failures are frequently caused by either faulty supply pumps or plugged fuel filters, this kit provides the customer with a very economical option to purchase all these items for total protection but at a discounted price. Order this kit if the part number stamped on the side of the original pump is one of the following: 0470506014, '021, or '028. To verify this is the correct pump number and that we send the correct fuel filter, please include the engine serial number (located on the engine data tag on the front driver's side of the engine) and the year of your vehicle when placing your order. WARRANTY: Our VP44 injection pump is warranted to be free from defects for a period of one year. Not included under this warranty are failures or damages caused by any form of fuel contamination, plugged fuel filters, improper installation, improper handling, the cutting or splicing of pump wires including for the use of performance products, or any other abnormal issue causing pump failure.
